Young driver makes move from karts to USF Juniors under the watchful eye of Jay Howard
It will be busy for Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) in 2024 as they will compete in all three rungs of the USF Pro Championships Presented by Cooper Tires ladder next season. Adding to their growing driver lineup, the extensive Indianapolis-based program has confirmed G3 Argyros to the USF Juniors Presented by Cooper Tires squad.
“I am excited to have G3 as part of our efforts in 2024,” explained Jay Howard. “Moving from karts to cars, G3 has been a front-runner in every class he has competed in, so we expect nothing less from him in our USF Juniors program. He will be a valuable piece of the JHDD puzzle, and we are excited to have him on board.”
“Joining JHDD marks a pivotal moment in my racing journey, and I'm beyond excited to harness our collective strength,” added Argyros. “From day one, I've felt a strong connection and alignment with the team's values and ambitions. Together, we're gearing up to make a powerful statement on the track. We're not just here to compete; we're here to contend, challenge, and claim our place at the forefront. The journey ahead is thrilling, and I'm ready to hit full throttle with the Jay Howard family. Keep your eyes on us— we're aiming for the top, and we're just getting started!”
Participating in the USF Pro Championships Fall Combine this past weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS), Argyros tackled the 14-turn, 2.439-mile road course at the world's most iconic racecourse. Showing speed that placed him third on the charts in the first five sessions, the young driver was consistently in the top-ten, finishing many of the sessions in P7.
Howard added, “It is a time of constant learning for G3, and I think he will benefit immensely from our past experiences, driver coaching program, and teammates that he has around him.”
Stay tuned for more driver announcements from Jay Howard Driver Development very soon.
