KINGSVILLE, Ont., Canada – This weekend, USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire heads to Alabama for rounds four and five of the 2024 chase for the championship, running alongside the NTT INDYCAR SERIES for the first time this season. Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) driver Ayden Ingratta already has two top-10 finishes under his belt and is aiming to improve on those results at Barber Motorsports Park.
In the first two races of the USF Juniors season at NOLA Motorsports Park, the young Canadian driver fought hard, crossing the finish line ninth in race one and seventh in race two. In the third race, Ingratta had contact early, due to no fault of his own, which put him out of contention for a good result.
“Despite the contact we had in race three, the first weekend of the season was a good one for us, and I’m confident we can have an even better weekend at Barber,” Ingratta explained. “I learned a lot from my time on track at NOLA, and I’m excited to see how what I’ve learned so far transfers to this weekend.”
The USF Juniors field will take to the 2.3-mile, 17-turn road course on Thursday for two test sessions, a practice session, and a qualifying session. Friday hosts a warmup session and both of the weekend’s races.
“It’s another busy weekend for us, with a lot of running in two days,” Ingratta said. “But I’m looking forward to it, and it’s very exciting to get to race alongside the INDYCAR series.”
