Ingratta looks to translate 2023 experience into 2024 success
KINGSVILLE, Ont., Canada – With race experience in 2023, Ayden Ingratta is now set for a full season of the USF Pro Championships Presented by Continental Tire. Ready to battle in USF Juniors, Ingratta will be part of the large and potent Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) program as he takes on the flat and fast NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans, Louisiana this weekend.
“I have been looking forward to this week since my last car race in 2023,” said Ingratta. “I have completed several pre-season tests as well as been able to race in some national-level karting events to stay sharp. I am ready to get going this weekend and start my race season off on the right foot.”
Showing speed in his very first event with JHDD back at Road America in August of 2023, Ingratta earned the pole position for race two and started all three races inside the top five. Fast forward to the USF Pro Championship Spring Training a few weeks ago, Ingratta closed the two-day test in the top three on the time charts during sessions four and five. Taking place at the same NOLA Motorsports Park facility that will be the home of the first event, Ingratta is confident in success to kick start his 2024 season.
Ingratta added, “We had a great test at NOLA a few weeks ago and I think that is a direct reflection on how we can start our 2024 season. We have a strong driver lineup at JHDD and I know we will all be pushing one another.”
In a jam-packed three-day weekend, Ingratta and the rest of the USF Juniors field will take part in three test sessions on Friday before official practice late in the afternoon. Two groups of qualifying will hit the track early Saturday morning to set the grid for race one that afternoon, before Sunday morning opens with another qualifying session and the second and third rounds of the season.
