Staut looks at the path to the top in North America through USF Pro Championships effort
Moving from karts to cars, Belgian driver Karel Staut has chosen the USF Pro Championships Presented by Continental Tire program for 2025. Joining the potent Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) program, Staut will take his talents to the USF Juniors series as he climbs the motorsports ladder.
“I’m thrilled to join JHDD for the 2025 season,” explained Staut. “I just turned 14 in October, and after a great experience in a two-day test with the team at NOLA Motorsports Park in early December, I’m looking forward to racing in the USF Junior series in the upcoming season.”
“Karel is a natural talent,” added Jay Howard. “His karting results have been impressive worldwide, with multiple race wins and championships. We are happy that the Staut family has trusted us in the first step of their open-wheel career, and I know the focus is 100% on race wins and the overall series title.”
“It is a real pleasure to see such a devoted and supporting team in racing,” continued Staut’s parents. “Jay’s driver coaching is impressive, constructive, and focuses on developing drivers to give it their all. We’re looking forward to seeing them grow into something great together!”
Staut will make his official series debut at NOLA Motorsports Park over the April 10-13 weekend with a winter test program already underway. Following NOLA, Staut will see action at Barber Motorsports Park, the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Road America and the Portland International Raceway.
