Scott looks to turn test into 2024 race program
With plans for the next season yet to be confirmed, Dane Scott will continue his preparation behind the wheel of a USF Juniors machine at Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, Alabama. Joining Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) over the November 21-22 test days, Scott hopes to turn some heads as he maps out his 2024 campaign.
“First off, I am thankful to Jay Howard and JHDD for providing me the opportunity as we continue to navigate both funding and plans for next season,” explained Scott. “I am looking forward to getting back behind the wheel and pushing forward.”
Sampling several different pieces of JHDD machinery in 2023, Scott competed in the F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda, the USF Juniors Presented by Cooper Tires and the USF2000 Presented by Cooper Tires programs. Scott is looking to steer his career to the USF Pro Championships ladder program but lacks the necessary funding to confirm his complete 2024 season.
Scott continued, “We are working very hard off the track to make sure that we can be on it in 2024. We have some unique partnership opportunities and are working to implement them. While I only have this test confirmed right now, my goal is to turn these two on-track days into more tests and races in 2024.”
