JHDD confirms second USF Juniors driver
Announcing Ava Dobson to the USF Juniors Presented by Cooper Tires program last week, Jay Howard Driver Development is pleased to announce Aidan Potter as the newest full-time team member today. Set for a full-season campaign in the new JHDD USF Juniors program, Potter will look to build upon the experience gained in 2023 as the second confirmed driver for the championship-caliber team.
“We are opening the JHDD family and bringing Aidan in for a full-time effort in 2024,” expressed Jay Howard. “Aidan competed with us in a few different programs in 2023 and made his USF Juniors debut at the season finale at the Circuit of the Americas moving forward to earn a pair of 11th-place results.”
Starting all three wheel-to-wheel races on the outside of row eight in P16, Potter was able to advance forward five positions in both race one and three to finish 11th. In only the second USF Juniors program for JHDD, Potter assisted with the shakedown of the car and helped in gathering data for the 2024 season.
“I am excited to get a new season of racing underway,” explained Potter. “I feel at home in the Jay Howard-led program and look forward to continuing my improvement and advancement, all while being a great team player for JHDD.”
Howard continued, “Aidan will have a much more focused campaign in 2024 and much like Ava Dobson, will look to take advantage of our development efforts. We are looking forward to our winter test program and getting back on track.”
Potter will be back behind the wheel of a JHDD-prepared USF Juniors machine at the USF Pro Championships Fall Combine over the October 21-22 weekend at the famous 2.439-mile, 14-turn Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.
