After a test in Ohio earlier this year, Loiacono will look for success in North America in 2025
Liam Loiacono, who earned three wins and nine podium results in the 2024 Australian Formula Ford Series, is bringing his talents to North America. Joining Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) in the USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tires effort in 2025, Loiacono becomes an instant threat as he brings experience to the prestigious INDYCAR ladder series.
“I’m ecstatic to join JHDD for 2025,” expressed Loiacono. “I have learned so much from working with the team so far, and I’m looking forward to continuing to progress with them into the future.”
At just 16 years of age, Loiacono brings over 40 races of Formula Ford experiences to the United States. Excited to compete in such a competitive series with a clear ladder to the top, the Australian has his long-term goals set for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.
"Liam tested with us for the first time in the middle of this year at Mid-Ohio, where he sat at the top of the charts most of every session; instantly, it was clear he had great pace,” explained Jay Howard. “I know he will work hard all season long. It's going to be a fun season as our driver lineup continues to take shape."
Loiacono will make his official series debut at NOLA Motorsports Park over the April 10-13 weekend with a winter test program already underway. Following NOLA, Loiacono will see action at Barber Motorsports Park, the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Road America and Portland International Raceway.
