Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin – Liam McNeilly, a rising star in USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire, is set to tackle the iconic Road America circuit this weekend as he continues his charge for the championship title. Currently sitting second in the standings, McNeilly, who drives for Jay Howard Driver Development, is just nine points shy of the lead with six crucial races remaining in the season.

McNeilly has consistently proven his mettle throughout the season, most recently with an impressive debut at the USF2000 Continental Tire Grand Prix of Toronto, where he claimed a pole position and a second-place finish. His sights are firmly set on capitalizing on this momentum as he heads to the challenging 4.014-mile Road America track in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, for the tripleheader event on August 10-11.

Despite being a new track for the young Brit, McNeilly is confident in both his abilities and the strength of his team, Jay Howard Driver Development, as they prepare for the weekend ahead.

“I’m looking forward to Road America this coming weekend. A new track for me but I’m looking forward to getting back to it with the team. They’ve gone well here in the past so I don’t see why we can’t do the same. Let’s score some points and have a good weekend,” said McNeilly.

The Road America weekend promises intense competition as McNeilly and his rivals battle it out for crucial points in the championship chase. With only 25 points separating the top four contenders, every race will be vital in determining who will come out on top as the season approaches its thrilling conclusion.

Action kicks off Friday August 9, with a set of three test sessions. Saturday will bring a 30 minute official practice at 10:25 a.m. CDT, followed by a single qualifying at 12:35 p.m., followed by Race 1 later in the afternoon at 3:55 p.m. Race 2 and Race 3 will be held on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and 2:50 p.m. respectively.
