McNeilly
PORTLAND, Ore. – British racing sensation Liam McNeilly capped off his debut season in USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire with a flawless performance at the season finale held at Portland International Raceway. McNeilly won all three races of the triple-header weekend, showcasing his talent and determination, and securing the coveted Rookie of the Year title.

Despite narrowly missing out on the overall championship title, finishing second behind Max Taylor of VRD Racing, McNeilly’s stellar results solidified his standing as one of the most promising young drivers on the circuit. His performance also earned another PFC Award for Jay Howard Driver Development as the winning car owner

Reflecting on his successful weekend, McNeilly expressed pride in his achievements: “A great way to end off the season in Portland with three straight wins. Ultimately, the championship didn’t end how we would have wanted, but I couldn’t be prouder of what we have achieved this year. My first year stateside learning all the tracks wasn’t easy, and I’m hopeful to be returning next year. We ended the season being the most successful driver based on race wins and a lot of lessons learned throughout the season that I will take into my career in the future. I’d like to thank everyone behind the scenes that’s made this season possible, and I’m looking forward to what the future has in store.”

Recognition as Rookie of the Year and Second Place in the Championship
McNeilly’s exceptional debut season earned him the USF Juniors Rookie of the Year award, along with a $2,500 prize, and solidified his reputation as a formidable competitor in North American motorsports. His second-place finish in the championship standings earned him an additional $25,000, further highlighting the strength and consistency of his performances throughout the season.

Silverstone Autosport BRDC Award Nomination
In addition to his on-track success, McNeilly’s talent has been recognized with his selection as one of the 10 finalists for the prestigious 2024 Silverstone Autosport BRDC Award. This honor, which aims to identify and support the best young British racing drivers, offers a substantial prize of £200,000 and a Formula 1 test with Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team for the winner.
