Alessandro De Tullio vaulted himself into contention for the inaugural USF Juniors Presented by Cooper Tires championship title following a weekend sweep of the Cooper Tires VIR Grand Prix for Velocity Racing Development at VIRginia International Raceway.

Alessandro De Tullio claimed his first career USF Juniors Presented by Cooper Tires win in dramatic fashion this afternoon at VIRginia International Raceway in an all-green flag race that saw four different lead changes during the course of the 15-lap contest on the 3.27-mile, 18-turn road course.

Competing under the Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport banner, Texan Ryan Shehan will be back behind the wheel of a Ligier JSF4 this weekend at the Virginia International Raceway (VIR).

With two drivers competing at the first round of the USF Juniors Presented by Cooper Tires, Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport will double in size for round two this weekend.

USF Juniors Presented by Cooper Tires, a new-for-2022 pre-step to the Road to Indy Presented by Cooper Tires, will return to action this weekend following a six-week hiatus.
