Ping
Noah and Zach Ping will take part in the USF Pro Championships Presented by Cooper Tires in USF2000 and USF Juniors

The last name Ping will double up with the VRD Racing program in 2023 as Zack and Noah Ping will join VRD Racing in the USF Pro Championships Presented by Cooper Tires. Competing in multiple different forms of motorsports over the past few years, the Ping brothers will enter USF2000 Presented by Cooper Tires with Noah, who is a multi-time winner and championship contender in the F4 United States program while Zack will compete in the USF Juniors Presented by Cooper Tires, making the step up from Radical Cup and World Racing League efforts.

“It is great to have a pair of drivers from the same family in one team as both Noah and Zack bring speed to VRD Racing,” explained Dan Mitchell. “Noah and Zack have impressed me in their racing disciplines and, partnered together in VRD Racing, will allow them to grow as well as push one another despite being in two different series. It is an exciting time for all involved as VRD Racing is making a full-time effort in the most popular open-wheel ladder program.”

Both Noah and Zack will be at the newly branded USF Pro Fall Combine this weekend testing the same VRD-prepared race car. While supply chain issues forced a delay in the new USF Junior tub for Zack, Noah will share his USF 2000 Tatuus with Zack this weekend at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Noah Ping has been a fixture at the front of the field in the F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda in 2022. Prior to this past weekend, Noah had earned a pair of victories and amassed five podium results in the 12 wheel-to-wheel races and sat third in the championship point chase. In the most recent event, Noah was back at the top of the results sheets scoring a win on Sunday, and will enter the final event weekend at the Circuit of The Americas sitting third in the championship point chase.

Younger brother Zack Ping has shown speed and earned race-winning and podium results on multiple occasions in 2022 as he has been seen at the front of the field in the World Racing League (WRL) program behind the wheel of a Porsche. In a program that featured multiple drivers, Zack will switch to the single-driver open-wheel program as he looks to continue his success.

“I have shown what I can do in an open-wheel car and look forward to the challenge that the USF2000 program will present in 2023,” explained Noah. “I am looking forward to being with VRD Racing for another season and can’t wait to share these experiences with my entire family as I begin my quest to climb the motorsports ladder.”

“I have been following my brother and VRD throughout this season and have been waiting for my opportunity to jump into an open-wheel car,” added Zack. “VRD is a professional program, and I have seen how they operate. I am confident that with the testing we have planned, we can make a run at the USF Juniors title.”
