Jackson Tovo and Enzo Tovo make the move from karts to USF Juniors

With some test days under their belt, Tovo Twins, Jackson and Enzo, are set for the USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire program in 2024. Joining Team Tonis, the duo will take advantage of an intense off-season test program as they prepare for their official USF Juniors debut in April.

“I am thankful that I have found a new home for my boys that encompasses not only the best car prep but also a coaching program with long-time coach Peter Portante who is second to none,” explained Jackson and Enzo’s Father Joe Tovo. “It is always a stressful time moving up the ladder and into a new team, Tonis has been nothing but supportive to our program both on and off the track, and we look forward to a successful season in 2024.”

Team Tonis will be joining the USF Juniors series for 2024. Team Tonis Owner Tonis Kasemets has an extensive racing background in the U.S., participating in USF2000, the Toyota Atlantic Series, INDYCAR and the IMSA series. His technical expertise from building cars and chassis setup is second to none. Based out of Lakemoor, Illinois, the full-service shop will handle all aspects of team support.

“I love working with drivers who you can build from the ground up,” expressed Kasemets. “Both Jackson and Enzo have the natural skills to have a successful career in motorsports, and I look forward to helping them with their climb, but also working with them to bring Team Tonis to the forefront of the USF Juniors program.”

Coming from a racing background that saw success in karting and F1600, the Tovo Twins are anxious to get the 2024 season started and look forward to the new challenges that are ahead.

“It is not going to be easy,” said Jackson. “But I am willing to work hard. I have a great coach in Peter and a great Team Tonis behind me, and I know we will all be working towards the same goals.”

Enzo added, “I am thankful for the opportunity to compete in USF Juniors next season. Racing with my brother in the same series may be stressful for our parents, but it will only be beneficial for us between event weekends as we speed up our learning.”

Jackson and Enzo as well as Team Tonis will take their first USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire green flag of the season April 5-7 at NOLA Motorsports Park.
